Stylist Kirsten Eike had the pleasure of working with bride Kelly this spring 2013. Kelly chose to go with a natural and timeless half up with romantic wavy curls. Everyone is the bridal party also chose beautiful up do’s that complimented them perfectly! We were happy to work with Blend make up as well! She books up rather quickly so I had to make a decision fast but that’s great for them that obviously have business!

Amanda was so sweet and laid back! She came to our studio on the morning of her wedding because it was just her getting hair done. My awesome vendor friend and past bride Bree Ryback from Capitol Romance ( who was coordinating the wedding day) recommend me, thanks girl! Amanda told me that she just wanted something romantic and textured ( nothing severer or flat) and something slightly to the side would be nice! So voila! This is what I came up with and she loved it!

Hadas- Natural Curls Enhanced!

Hadas was so sweet, she was planning from out of town so thankfully we had the option of doing a trial run about a week or so before her wedding day. Hadas has natural curls, so we decided to tame them into a partial up do. I love the way it turned out! It still looked like herself, but a polished version. Congrats again Hadas!

Danielle’s Side Pony with Vintage Flair

Stylist Kirsten Eike was happy to work with Danielle and her bridal party on her big day! We just love working at venue Black Horse Inn, and we were excited to hear that was were Danielle was getting ready! Danielle chose to go with a curled side pony tail with a few pin curl details on top. She added a flat piece embellished hair peice to make this modern hair style look a bit more vintage, to go with her dress style. Congrats again Danielle!

Bride Yuliya was super sweet to work with! I met her a few years back at a photo shoot ( she was one of the models) and she happened to have just gotten engaged. Catie’s mid-low updo: Timeless Elegance

I really enjoyed being a part of Catie’s special day! Even though it felt like it was the hottest day of the year, everyone hair stayed put ! Catie and her mom were both so nice and sweet, I had a great time at the trial with both of them! Catie had just about shoulder length hair and wanted to go with a timeless curled and elegant up-do. On the wedding day, Catie and all of her bridesmaids were so calm and relaxed, and each one of them had pictures to show me of ideas for their hair! While each of them had ideas they were all open to me doing what I thought looked best! I even met one of my 2013 brides at Catie’s wedding, and I cant wait to do her wedding next month! I was really exited to get these pictures back from Rodney Bailey. It isn’t too often that we get good hair shots of not only the bride but the bmaids as well, thank you Rodney Bailey photog team!

Julie from Jewel Hair Design did an amazing job with my and my bridesmaids’ hair! Everyone’s hair looked amazing and stayed up for the whole night, even though with my girls she didn’t have their example hair pictures until the day of the wedding — I was the only one who had a trial. I also have only shoulder-length hair, and she pulled it up and out of my way beautifully. She also worked *way* faster than expected. We were actually well ahead of schedule! It was obviously awesome that she travels to your home/hotel room/etc. so you don’t have to worry about getting to a salon. Julie is extremely creative and effective, and I have already recommended her to friends planning to get married in the area. Thanks, Julie!

Christen’s Structured French Twist

Bride Christen was so sweet and fun to be around! I thoroughly enjoyed working with her, her bmaids ,and mob/ mog! Christen originally had a trial with me to try a loose romantic and curled style, but then ended up trying out a totally different structured french twist at another trial and LOVED it! Picture from the trials below. I am so happy she went with the twist overall because it totally matched her dress and style for the big day! It was a pleasure working with my friend and make up artist Lori Nansi of Le Mariee’ again! Congrats again Christen!

Julie of Jewel Hair Design is a fabulous artist and a very sweet person. She did 3 of my bridesmaids’ styles, my mother’s hair, my mother-in-law’s hair and my updo. Kirsten from Jewel Hair Design was a pleasure to work with! From the day of my hair trial, which happened to be on what felt like the hottest day of the summer, to my wedding day in the early fall – Kirsten did a great job on everyone’s hair! I was first impressed by Kirsten’s professionalism. She always arrived early and was very prepared with everything she needed for any hairstyle requested. She works very quickly, but does not compromise on quality at all. When I showed her pictures and told her what I was envisioning for my wedding day hairstyle, she came up with a beautiful up-do during my trial and on my wedding day, it looked even better! I absolutely loved the up-do I had for my wedding! Kirsten also did the hair for my four bridesmaids. I told her my general vision for my bridesmaids and then she listened to what each of them wanted and gave her honest professional opinion if she didn’t think a particular style would work well. In the end, all of my bridesmaids really loved each of their hairstyles. What was great, too, was that all of our hairstyles lasted the entire day. We started hair very early in the morning at 7:20am and it lasted on each of us all the way until we went to bed late that night. Not only is Kirsten very professional and talented, but she was very friendly too. My girls and I all got along very well with Kirsten and had a fun time getting ready with her.
